My design system timeline
“Rachael has been transformative to our design system effort, our design team, and our design enablement function. We’re seeing her work and influence all over the platform as we continue to build a strong systems-based view on how we craft market-leading user experiences for all of our customers. Thank you for everything you do to make design and dev intuitive, beautiful, consistent, and easy. Your leadership within Design and the fantastic work you’ve done in AI enablement has been crucial.”

Testimonials
"Rachael is an invaluable addition to our team here at Homebase. She works tirelessly every day to make sure our team is leveling up to launch things quickly, with quality. She is a primary reason why we are serving our customers better, and I’m so grateful she’s on the team."
- Janet Taylor, former manager at Homebase
"I interviewed and hired Rachael in Kunai. She quickly became a point of reference for all the design work. Not only is she extremely competent and adaptable, but also a great human being, who cares about growing as a professional, as well as a person and cares about others: her community, colleagues and company. She is able to produce extremely sophisticated results, in a very short period of time. Great attention to detail as well as strategic insights above and beyond whatever the request/brief is. She can manage other designers and drive the whole process. Also, she is very open to feedback and able to pivot, according to shifts in the context or crazy clients’ requests. As Steve Jobs said: “hire great people and let them tell you what to do”. It was a pleasure working with her and looking forward to in the future."
- Velco Farina, former manager at Kunai
“A true systems thinker, Rachael routinely brought together people and ecosystems, pushing for sustainable and scalable solutions with her work. Firmly rejecting the notion of ‘build it, and they will come,’ Rachael routinely took the time to encourage and create space for cross-functional teammates to contribute and collaborate. Her care for her work is evident, but her dedication to her teammates might not be so obvious - that's because so many things that Rachael did for our team were often behind the scenes. Whether it was ensuring that less outspoken teammates had an opportunity to speak during our weekly meetings, creating a product ecosystem document to get new designers up to speed with our product quickly, or codifying our design vision and principles - Rachael was a crucial figure in bringing our team together.”
- Alison Robbins, former colleague at Wonolo
“Rachael, is one of the best designer I have worked with. She is very focused and quickly understood business needs and within no time came up with amazing designs. I could easily say that her contribution to Omnicell one application had resulted in such a user friendly good looking web application. I wish her lot of success.”
- Kunal Pradhan, former colleague at Omnicell
“Rachael is one of those designers who jumps in with both feet. In her first week, she was digging into product work, building relationships with clients, and helping create much-needed processes within the design department. She's an advocate for the customer, she can back up her work, and she thinks about problems in both the short and long-term. The bottom line is she is someone who makes the people around her want to work harder while enjoying the work more. Rachael is a star, and anyone lucky enough to have her on their team will be the better for it.”
- Stephen Perkins, former colleague at Kunai
About me
I live outside of Denver, Colorado with my husband, son and our two dogs. When I’m not designing, you can find me in the woods foraging for mushrooms. In my remaining spare time I am reading, learning how to paraglide and making stained glass.
